Nicobar IPA is an India Pale Ale created by a multi-award-winning organic brewery Gusswerk in Salzburg using an old, traditional method. It has been added to a chocolate ganache made from a caramel couverture, dark chocolate with a 70% cocoa content, and a bit of hazelnut praline, all covered in mountain milk chocolate with a 50% cocoa content.
Nicobar India Pale Ale was named after the only Austrian colony in the Indian Ocean, the Nicobar Islands (near Malaysia and Singapore). A long time ago, an Austrian fleet made its way there from the port of Triest, carrying an unusually strong type of alcohol, which has now been resurrected as Nicobar IPA.
