Weiss Mbô is a dark chocolate bar, made from cocoa beans from Cameroon, famous for its prominent notes of yellow fruit. It is full of character and has a beautiful aromatic complexity. Its initial taste carries a lovely acidity that develops into notes of ripe, slightly stewed yellow fruit. Then, a frank intensity of cocoa with roasted notes appears, reminiscent of the hot red earth of the Lekié region in Cameroon.

The taste of chocolate evolves in the mouth with a woody and slightly spicy sweetness, finally giving way to a pleasant bitterness at the end of the tasting.
Eugène Weiss, the founder and creator of Maison Weiss, was the son of a winemaker. He drew inspiration from the world of wine to create the art of chocolate blending: combining cocoas from various origins, balancing their proportions, and developing recipes that yield truly unique flavours and tasting notes - the same way the greatest wines are created...

He opened his shop in Saint-Etienne. The city, with its gourmet heritage, boasted up to 25 chocolatiers in the 1920s. Saint-Étienne lies on the cocoa route: from Nantes by river and from Marseille by rail. The climate is neither too humid nor too hot, ideal for preserving the beans' character.

Because his workshop became too small, he established his chocolate factory in 1907. Maison Weiss pioneered several innovations. The chocolate factory developed the first catalogues to showcase its chocolates. A few years later, the Maison unveiled its emblem: the first individually wrapped chocolate, the Napolitain.
