Spanish anchovy fillets in olive oil made in artisan production, caught from the Mediterranean Sea, in the town of L'Escala, Costa Brava (Girona), Catalonia.

Each can contains about 14-16 filets. Drained weight: 50g

M. Sureda has been processing anchovies since 1940, doing each step of the process themselves in a fully artisanal method, salting the whole, local anchovies and preparing the fillets in olive oil. ’Escala has one of the longest maritime traditions of any village in Catalonia. They continue the same tradition their ''Mujeres anchoeras' (Anchovy Women) have always followed.

Make sure to save the oilve oil the anchovy fillets are in. It makes the most delicious salad dressing.
