Miso is a fermented salty bean paste, widely used as a base in Japanese cuisine. This miso is a mixture of soybeans and rice. It has a deep, salty and umami-rich flavour.
May be used to prepare miso soups, marinate meat and vegetables. It can also be added to mashed potatoes or vegetable soups for a bit of a kick.
