Malafronte Crostini are crispy Italian crackers made with delicious local ingredients. They work wonderfully with soft cheeses such as burrata, ricotta or gorgonzola, as well as a slice of cured ham or tomatoes. They also make an excellent accompaniment to salads. These crostini are made with spelt grains, and are on the smoother side of the cracker spectrum. Because of spelt's very humble tasting notes, these crackers won't overpower the cheese or other topping, perfectly complementing any dish or strong cheese.

There are producers we are instantly drawn to the minute we first speak to them and hear their story. Especially so, if their products are impeccably delicious, honest and authentic. Malafronte is a small family bakery, established in Gragnano, near Napoli in 1906. Currently operated by the fourth generation - three brothers: Daniele, Adriano and Massimiliano Malafronte - they still bake wonderful traditional rustic loaves every day for the locals. But they also make grissini in the most amazing flavours, strictly stretched and rolled only by hand. From their classic Acqua di Mare grissini, made with seawater, to the exceptionally unique Cacio e Pepe with Pecorino or Lard & Black Pepper to the butter-grissini, made with butter and sage, their range is a celebration of the most excellent Italian ingredients, flavours, and artisanal craftsmanship.
