Maison Martin Hot Sauce Carolina Reaper 100ml 11/12

The Carolina Reaper chilli is famous for being one of the hottest chillies in the world. It was created by Ed Currie, a pepper farmer in South Carolina, USA. The variety was officially recognised as the hottest in the world by Guinness World Records in 2013. With its fruity aroma and intense heat, measured at over 1.5 million units on the Scoville scale, the Carolina Reaper has become a staple for thrill seekers and pepper eating contests.

The CR chillies used during the preparation of this sauce were grown in the South-West of France, in open fields and in season. After being crushed into a puree, they spend several months in the cellar after fermentation in a refining stage which enables it to develop the taste and aromas

Carolina Reaper chilli offers a blend of fruity and floral aromas, with intense and prolonged heat. It has notes of tropical fruit, followed by an overwhelming heat sensation and a slight bitterness. 

Add slowly and gradually to dishes, starting with just a small amount. Taste and adjust according to your preference of hotness. Can be incorporated it into cooked dishes as well as sauces, marinades, soups, dressings, or by adding it directly to the plate. It will also enhance pizzas, scrambled eggs or sandwiches.

Maison Martin was founded in 2019 by three passionate food and cooking enthusiast cousins, Anna, Jean-Baptiste and Benjamin, based in Loir-et-Cher in France, between Tours and Orléans.
