Halfway between Parmigiano and Pecorino in terms of texture, Montasio is a farmhouse, artisanal cheese, aged for about a year in Veneto province. Sweet wth a touch of spice notes. May be enjoyed as a snacking cheese and also a must-have for Italian cooking.
Pairs well with full bodied, red wines. Great with chestnut honey, fruit chutneys and wedges of apple.
