This small producer's quest is to create flavoured teas without any added ingredients, only using all-natural smoking methods. This hojicha, cultivated in the region of Shizuoka using the chagusaba method (with a mulch of grass), is then smoked with yakusugi cedar chips which give the tea a powerful woody aroma. Cedar has been used in smoking processes since centuries. 

This smoked tea may be enjoyed cold or hot. It goes very well with nuts or chocolate. You may simmer fish or meat with it as well. Tea leaves and their strong flavour may also be used in condiments and seasoning.
