The milk of three breeds of cows are combined to produce Abondance: Montbéliardes, Tarines and Abondance. It is made in the Savoy region, has a firm paste with medium intensity and is made from unpasteurised cow milk. 

Both its fragrance and taste are complex: floral and lactic notes, a mixture of sweetness and a hint of acidity. Its slight bitterness, desired, will allow it to gain in length and freshness. Best enjoyed at about 6 to 8 months of ripening - this is exactly how we sell it. 
 
Works great with dry white wines as well as fresh or dried fruits and chutneys. Great addition to not only the cheeseboard but also to your cheese toastie.
