Rich, dense and uniquely aromatic, this chewy-fudgy cake is rich in chunks of candied fruit and crunchy whole almonds. The ingredients are boiled slowly with spices to create a dough that, once cooled, is made exclusively by hand to create the typical round shape. The finished cake is then dusted with icing sugar and paper wrapped by hand.
