Bean-to-bar 72% dark bar with a harmonised creamy flavour. It has notes of coffee, chocolate and roasted cocoa.

The packaging is a nod to the travel moleskins.

The indigenous people of the Piaroa now live in the central Orinoco Basin on the border with Colombia. The population is still around 14,000 people, most of whom live in reserves and make a living from agriculture or hunting. Old traditions like shamanism are being forgotten as young people adapt more and more to modern life.

The Piaroa cocoa beans are harvested from the wild in the Venezuelan Orinoco river basin. The trees grow on small parts of the land and on small islands that are protected from flooding and are naturally fertilized by rich minerals from the river.

In each bar you will find a card with a code with which you can plant a seedling in the Mata Atlantica of Brazil and thus contribute to the reforestation of the tropical forest. Enter your code at the link provided and plant a seedling. Fair Cacao is committed to protecting nature in the cocoa growing regions.

Oliver Coppeneur travels the cocoa plantations himself and is convinced of the sustainable cultivation and the fair payment of its cocoa farmers.
