Tsáchila are the indigenous people of Ecuador. They belong to the few cultures that go back to the time before the Incas. They live in the rainforest west of the Andes near Santo Domingo de los Colorados and the provinces of Pichincha and Esmeraldas. The people are also called Colorados, Spanish for “dyed red”, which comes from the traditional red hair color made from achito seeds for men. Today the Tsáchilas live mainly from agriculture or as tour guides through the species-rich forests.

In each bar you will find a card with a code with which you can plant a seedling in the Mata Atlantica of Brazil and thus contribute to the reforestation of the tropical forest. Enter your code at the link provided and plant a seedling. Fair Cacao is committed to protecting nature in the cocoa growing regions.

Oliver Coppeneur travels the cocoa plantations himself and is convinced of the sustainable cultivation and the fair payment of its cocoa farmers.
