Having tried hundreds of different chocolate spreads over two decades, we at Culinaris consider this one the most delicious and indulgent. But it shouldn't come as a surprise. Confiture Parisienne teamed up with none else but Fou de Pâtisserie - a pastry institution, grown out of a publication - to create this recipe through a long and meticulous process. (Just imagine the amount of tasting that must have been going on... sigh...)
Crunchy, rough and creamy at the same time, impossibly decadent, the kind of pleasure you savour straight from the jar in the back of the kitchen, hoping no one will see.
First, crushed hazelnuts and almonds drowned in a dark chocolate cream. Second "chouchou" shards are added. (That's roasted peanuts under a crunchy caramel coating.) Then, no it doesn't stop there, because the perfect crime always has a twist: each jar hides, right in the centre, a runny salted caramel part. Enough said. Go and treat yourself before stock runs out, and only the regret remains.

Confiture Parisienne was founded in 2015 by two friends, Laura and Nadège. Their "Le Laboratoire" is the only jam factory in Paris! In the past historic times orchards used to dominate the beautiful districts of Paris, and back then, jams were indeed a Parisian specialty. It is this lost tradition that Laura and Nadège wanted to revive.
In their workshop, they and their team create artisanal jams with flavours as intense as unexpected. What makes them truly stand out - and what made us fall for the range - is the collaborations they do. Some of the collaborations are conducted with world-renowned pastry chefs, to develop exceptional and never-before available recipes. Other collaborations are brought to life with iconic brands, resulting in the most enchanting artworks as well as extraordinary flavour combinations. Their jars well deserve a second and third life as home decor ornaments: as herb, spice or storage pots in the kitchen, to keep pens all neat in the study, and of course as small vases on the dining room's table.
But above all, Confiture Parisienne jams are made with fruits selected at the best of the seasons. Never frozen, never dried, never pureed - only fresh fruits. The only thing added is some unrefined sugar, the jams are cooked in small quantities in copper cauldrons using the traditional method, without any additives, thickeners or preservatives. Then poured into delicately decorated and white lacquered jars which make them original gifts for those you love. Starting with yourself, of course...
